Caring for your Rubber
Wearing your rubber
Apply talcum powder to the inside of your garment before putting it on. This will help you to ease into the garment.
Rubber (latex) is a fragile natural material. Avoid contact with all sharp objects (remove jewellery and exercise caution with long nails). Rubber is stretchy but do not overstretch as it may become weak and rip.
Once on, shine with a silicone-based polish using a dust free cotton cloth. (Please read instructions on polish before use.)
Cleaning your rubber
Wash by hand in luke-warm water. (Use very mild detergents if any.) Dry thoroughly with a towel after washing as water droplets left on your garment may cause a slight dulling.
Store your garment in a dark place, as strong and in particular UV light can dull the latex's colour. Do not hang on metal hangers and do not fold.
Ensure white and coloured items are not stored next to other coloured rubbers or metal. Contact with metal (such as copper and coins) or perfumes may discolour and damage your garment.
Allergies
Lickorishlatex garments are not suitable for people with allergies to latex, nickel or zink. If you find you have an adverse reaction to a lickorishlatex garment, please remove it immediately and seek medical advice.
